Our History

Created in 1996 by two Quebec purchasing groups, Novexco is now the third largest Canadian office supplies and services distributor for workplaces and the only one owned by Canadians.

  • 1996

    Foundation of Novexco.

  • 2000

    The three brands merge, creating BuroPLUS®.

  • 2008

    Acquisition of the Corporate Express wholesale division, including the Club Express® brand.

  • 2011

    Novexco builds a new head office and distribution centre in Laval QC.

  • 2014

    Novexco acquires Lyreco Canada, the largest acquisition in its history.

  • 2016-2017

    Novexco acquires Rubanco, one of its merchant members; Chestwood, a distributor located in the Toronto area; and Crites & Riddell, a 100-year-old company in the Montreal area. This included two new distribution centres.

  • 2018

    All sales divisions adopt a new commercial identity: Hamster™. The wholesale division continues to operate independently.
